Storytime

Fall 2008 Schedule

For Preschoolers (ages 3—5 years) and
Toddlers (ages 18 months—3 years)

Our first fall Storytime is scheduled for September 9 and 11 at the times and places listed below.  Please register at the library you will be attending beginning August 17.   You may call Dianne Pittarese at either library for more information.

Children’s Storytime is an opportunity for children and their parents to come together for stories, songs, crafts and more.  Reading and singing to young children promotes language and vocabulary development.  Comprehension and cognitive skills are also enhanced.

Preschool Storytime for children 3-5 years of age is offered at the Jonesborough Library on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and on Thursdays at the Gray Branch Library at 10:00 a.m.  Sessions last about 45 minutes.

Toddler Storytime for children 18-35 months is
offered at the Jonesborough Library on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. and at the Gray Branch Library on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.  Sessions last about 20 minutes.

Occasionally snow or inclement weather will force the closure of Washington County Schools.  When the county schools are closed, we will not have storytime.  If unsure, please call the library before coming to story time.

Program Calendar

The first date reflects the storytime at Jonesborough and the second date reflects the storytime at Gray.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
